Pregnancy is a beautiful thing that should be experienced fully through all its ups and downs. Join Instructor Shayna in safe and supportive space for your journey to motherhood (and beyond). A prenatal practice may help you relieve pregnancy aches and pains, prepare for birth and connect with local moms-to-be. Along with performing postures modified for the needs of your trimester, you'll cultivate a breathing practice, develop stamina and strength and improve balance and circulation.

Each week you will be given tools to help reduce or manage shortness of breath during pregnancy and, work through contractions during labor. Through the use of prenatal yoga, you’ll be encouraged to gently move different areas of your body, through their full range of motion.

Prenatal yoga will encourage strength & flexibility throughout the completion of your pregnancy. The techniques you learn will allow you to feel more comfortable with your changing body. There are very few things we can control as we head into labor but I will ensure that through breathing and relaxation techniques, as well as mind/body awareness, you will be fully prepared for all that comes your way.

Top 3 reasons that prenatal yoga can benefit you:

*You’re better prepared for labor & delivery: Working one-on-one in a private setting will help you learn to connect with methods of deep, mindful breathing. These tools will help the body loosen and relax during labor and delivery.

*A healthier pregnancy: It’s probably not surprising that research has confirmed that a healthy mama is more likely to have a healthy baby.

*Your important muscle groups are toned: You will learn to build and maintain muscle tone during pregnancy. With private prenatal yoga we will incorporate yoga poses such as lunges and gentle backbends.

This can help minimize the aches & pains of pregnancy and are key in bringing your body back to a toned condition after delivery.

Free Lecture "Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy" - with Tamao Albert LMT

Thursday, September 20
7pm

The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy® are founded on the ancient Mayan technique of abdominal massage which is an external non-invasive manipulation that repositions internal organs that have shifted, thereby restricting the flow of blood, lymph, nerve and chi.

This modality incorporates a holistic approach to health care which includes massage, anatomy and physiology, herbology, nutrition, and emotional and spiritual healing. Dr. Arvigo believes that with any natural healing technique, these areas must be simultaneously addressed to promote optimal health. This technique offers health benefits for men and women.
